What this website collects, why, where it is kept and how to ask us about it.
last updated
The short version
The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the contact form. There are no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies, and every font and script is served from this site.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, organization if you give one, the topic you choose and your message, plus the time it arrived.
- Request logs: the method, path, response status and duration of each request to our API. Logs do not contain message text or email addresses.
- Abuse protection: your IP address is used in memory to limit how many messages one connection can send in a short time. It is not written to our database.
Why
To read and answer your enquiry, and to keep the form usable by stopping automated abuse.
Where it goes
Enquiries are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon on Amazon Web Services in Singapore (ap-southeast-1), and forwarded to the inbox of the people who answer them. Only approved AlgoQX administrators can see stored enquiries.
How long
We keep an enquiry while it is useful for answering you and any follow-up, and delete it when you ask us to.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and choose General enquiry.
Changes
If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date above is updated.
